In Kars, tourism training was provided to 1,500 people. Within the scope of the 'Historical Identity of Kars City' Project, conducted under the auspices of the Kars Governorship by the Serhat Development Agency (SERKA), financed by the European Union Pre-Accession Financial Assistance Fund (IPA) under the Turkey-European Union financial cooperation, within the Competitive Sectors Operational Program of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, seminars aimed at increasing tourism awareness and training to improve service quality were provided by experts in the tourism sector from February 19 to 24, 2024, in Kars.
Within the scope of the activities, training was provided to various groups such as ski instructors, public employees, tour guides, high school students, women entrepreneurs, craftsmen, hotel and restaurant employees, and public transport drivers in Kars city center and districts, reaching approximately 1,500 people. The activity, aimed at strengthening Kars' tourist potential, improving service quality, and promoting sustainable tourism, was successfully completed with great interest.
