"Preparation Process Continues in Erzurum, Declared as the 'EİT 2025 Tourism Capital'
In Erzurum, which has been declared the 'EİT 2025 Tourism Capital,' the preparation process is ongoing. Throughout the week, numerous seminars were conducted by professors from Atatürk University and Erzurum Technical University. These seminars were attended by hotel, restaurant, cafe, and jewelry shop owners, Taşhan tradesmen, delicatessen owners, taxi drivers, bus drivers, minibus drivers, district promotion experts appointed by district governorships, and other service sector employees.
The seminars were attended by Muharrem Çığlık, the Coordinator for the EİT 2025 Tourism Capital, Deputy Governor Mustafa Berk Çelik, Atatürk University Vice-Rector Turgut Göğebakan, Erzurum Technical University Vice-Rector Ceren Elmalı, Acting Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Osman Çodur, and Acting Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Levent Çakmur."
At the 4th Tourism Ministers Meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) held in Uzbekistan, Erzurum was selected as the 'ECO 2025 Tourism Capital.' The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) consists of Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan.
The success and enhancement of service sector standards and infrastructure for various events planned in Erzurum for 2025, such as international games, the Palandöken Economic Forum, and Gastronomy Fairs, are of great importance for the promotion of the city.
