Pristina
Organized for the second time in Pristina, the capital of Kosovo, the "International Tourism Fair" opened its doors to its visitors with a ceremony.
Representatives of more than 200 companies participating in the fair from 10 countries, as well as many provinces of Kosovo, exhibited their tourism opportunities in the stands they opened.
Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, who attended the opening ceremony, said in her speech that Kosovo has an extraordinary tourism potential with its various cultural points, archaeological sites and international festivals.
Stating that they have more work to be done in the field of tourism, Osmani said, "We should aim to make Kosovo a part of the tourist packages not only of the Balkans but also of Europe, and to ensure that tourists from different countries of the world and from all continents see our country as a destination."
One of the fair organizers, President of the Kosovo Tourism Union, Baki Hoti, said that the fair was organized to promote the tourism, traditions and values of the participating countries and to "include as many visitors as possible in Kosovo's Balkan tourism packages and thus receive as many visitors as possible".
More than 20 companies from Turkey are participating in the fair, which will remain open for 3 days. It is expected that charter flights from Kosovo to Turkey's summer tourism regions will start in April.
