Iraqi delegation in Doski Valley, which they likened to Amazon

A group of 65 people, consisting of representatives of tourism directorates and representatives of travel agencies in various cities of Iraq, toured the Doski Valley, which has a magnificent nature, in Yüksekova district of Hakkari, which they liken to the Amazon region.
Hakkari Chamber of Craftsmen, Yüksekova Chamber of Craftsmen, Yüksekova Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Esendere Town Mayor Dırbaz Büyüksu, (TÜRSAB) Eastern Anatolia Regional Executive Board Chairman Cevdet Özgökçe and a group of artisans operating in the district visited Iraq. Then, the representatives of the agencies and the officials of the tourism directorates, who were invited, entered through the Üzümlü Border Gate in Çukurca district yesterday.
The Iraqi delegation, who was welcomed with roses at the door and will be hosted in the region for 3 days, passed the Doski Valley, which is known as the hidden paradise of Yüksekova district today. Visiting the villages in the Doski Valley, which they liken to the Amazon because of its woodland, Iraqis had fun dancing halay.

Saying that Iraqis liken Doski Valley to Amazon forests, Turkish Travel Agencies Association (TÜRSAB) Eastern Anatolia Regional Executive Board Chairman Cevdet Özgökçe said, “Today we are in Doski Valley. There are many villages here. Our guests from Iraq compared this place to the Amazon forests. They said they were very satisfied. They also visited this place and saw the natural beauties on the spot. Hopefully, we will represent our region in the best way in the future. We would like to thank everyone who gave us these opportunities.”
Vedat Çoğaç, President of Yüksekova Chamber of Craftsmen and Craftsmen, stated that Iraq is a somewhat arid region and said, “Our Iraqi guests visited Doski Valley. They compared this place to the Amazon jungle. We liked this too. They liked it very much. We introduce our region and culture to them. They were also amazed by this magnificent nature. Hopefully, we will introduce our country in the best way in the future. Our only goal is to bring this place to tourism.”
