London's airports broke records

Heathrow and Stansted airports in London experienced their busiest February on record last month.

According to the information provided, Heathrow Airport served 5.8 million passengers in February. This figure represents an increase of 11.6% compared to the previous year. The majority of the increase in passenger numbers came from Asian routes. Following the end of the Covid pandemic, passenger numbers on Asian routes increased by 55.7%.

This figure marks the busiest February on record for Heathrow.

Another airport in London, Stansted, served 1.92 million passengers in February.
