TCG Nusret (Minelayer) Museum Ship in Amasra opened to visitors

TCG Nusret  (Minelayer) Museum Ship, which played an important role in the victory of the 18 March Çanakkale Naval Victory, opened to visitors at Bartın's Amasra Port.
TCG Nusret (Minelayer), which played critical roles in the Çanakkale Wars by the Naval Forces Command and played an important role in the victory, opened to visitors at the Amasra Port of Bartın. The museum ship built in 2009-2010 and put into service in 2011 with the aim of keeping the memory alive and enlightening the visitors with scientific data.

With a length of 40 meters and a width of 7.5 meters, equipped with modern navigation devices, the museum ship became the focus of attention of students as well as adults. The museum ship, which was opened to visitors in the morning hours, hosted hundreds of guests.
The role and achievements of the Nusret Minelayer in the Çanakkale Victory were explained to the students and other visitors on the ship, accompanied by presentations.

A citizen named Murat Çakır, who visited the museum ship, explained his feelings and said, “There are very emotional moments on board. It reminds history, it reminds the struggles that happened in history. It reflects very emotional truths about how Turkey came to this day and how it got out of its occupation. Apart from reading history, it is another world to live one-to-one with its model, ship, memories and simulations. Thanks to our martyrs, this country was not won easily, we understood it, we experienced its feeling.”
During the Çanakkale Wars, the mine lines formed by the Nusret Minelayer had sunk the battleships Ocean and Irresistible of the British navy and the battleship Bouvet of the French navy, and the battleships Gaulois, Suffren and Inflexexıble of the Allied navy were also heavily damaged.
