The Blue Flag beach operated by the school welcomes vacationers

The Blue Flag beach operated by Şehit Yüzbaşı Özgür Özekin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Fethiye district of Muğla is attracting a large number of visitors.

The management rights of Fethiye’s Büyük Samanlık Bay were granted to Şehit Yüzbaşı Özgür Özekin Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School for 20 years through a protocol signed with the Fethiye District Governor's Office four years ago. After the students began working under the supervision of master instructors, all deficiencies were addressed, and the Blue Flag started to fly over the beach, which now serves both local and foreign tourists. At the same time, the students practicing there are being prepared for their professional careers.

Despite the high demand, the master instructors work diligently to serve vacationers at the beach, which is open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Officials, noting that the beach provides hands-on training for students, stated, "We prepare our students for the future with quality education while offering high-quality service to local and foreign visitors in Fethiye, thus contributing to the national economy. Additionally, we support employment by training intermediate staff for the tourism sector. Our beach is clean, hygienic, environmentally friendly, Blue Flag certified, and accessible."
