The Touristic Diyarbakır Express in Elazığ

The 'Touristic Diyarbakır Express', which set off from Ankara the day before yesterday and reached Diyarbakır yesterday, departed again today towards Ankara. The first stop of the express was Elazığ Yolçatı Station. Visitors, welcomed with flowers at the station, went to the historic Harput District by buses. Here, the guests watched a performance by a folklore team, then visited the Music Museum and participated in the Kürsübaşı program. Travelers who explored the historical sites and museums in Harput took a city tour. Later, passengers returned to the station to continue their journey by train, expressing that they were warmly welcomed in Elazığ and had a lot of fun.

Ahmet Demirdağ, the Director of Culture and Tourism of Elazığ, stated that today is an important day for Elazığ, saying, "Today, we hosted the Diyarbakır-Ankara touristic train service in our city. We welcomed our guests and took them to Harput. Harput is very valuable to us. We are striving to introduce our historical and cultural assets to our guests and tourists. We hope that these trips will contribute significantly to our city becoming a tourism destination. Because now, promotion has started to overshadow everything. Promotion is also a very important activity in tourism."

Zuhal Ünalan, expressing that the journey was excellent, said, "Everywhere in our country, including Elazığ, is very beautiful. Everyone should come and see these beauties. It was a lot of fun. Everything was very nice; let's always be in peace."

Zeynep Özsoy, who joined the trip from Istanbul, said, "It was a tourist trip beyond our expectations. We were especially welcomed very nicely in Elazığ. Frankly, we didn't expect this much. Thank you very much."
