Uçhisar Castle, one of the most important tourism destinations in the Cappadocia region and also known as the region's largest fairy chimney, continued to attract the attention of local and foreign tourists in the first five months of the year. Located in the Cappadocia region, which hosted approximately 5 million tourists last year and is listed on the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage List, Uçhisar Castle, the world's largest natural skyscraper, was visited by 92,000 local and foreign tourists in the first five months of the year.
Uçhisar Mayor Abdullah Çamcı stated in his remarks, "Uçhisar Castle is a magnificent place located about 400 meters above the ground at the center of Cappadocia. Our guests can enjoy the view of Cappadocia right beneath their feet. In the first five months of this year, we have had 92,000 visitors. We aim to host 400,000 visitors by the end of the year."
When you climb Uçhisar Castle, the only place in all of Cappadocia where you can have a panoramic view, you can clearly see the valleys starting from Pigeon Valley all the way to Avanos, Ortahisar Castle, Göreme Town, Göreme Open Air Museum, Swords Valley, Red Valley, Rose Valley, Love Valley, Walnut Grove Valley, Çavuşin, Boztepe, Aktepe, Mount Erciyes, and Mount Hasan.
