Tourism is paying a price that cannot be reversed

The cost of not fighting inflation is being paid in an irreversible way by both society and our most important sector, tourism. With these costs, we have lost our biggest advantage, which is why we have particularly lost European tourists coming to our country. The lack of European tourists is felt much more in our 3/4 star hotels. We have now reached a point where transportation and advertising alone are no longer sufficient. To avoid losing 2025, it is imperative that we urgently work on reducing hotel costs. Of course, transportation and advertising must also be included. The tourism fund for 2025 should truly be used for tourism. A special cost support package should be announced for 3/4 star hotels. Otherwise, foreign tourists and operators will leave the country, never to return. The Ministry of Tourism alone cannot handle this; the government and the Ministry of Finance must take action immediately.
