Şırnak, Cizre ilçesinde restorasyonu tamamlanan tarihi yerlerin açılmasıyla yaz ayında yerli ve yabancı turistlerini bekliyor. Tarihi 10 bin yıl öncesine dayanan kültürel değerleri, medeniyeti ve doğal güzellikleri ile sosyal yaşamın canlandığı Cizre, kapılarını yerli ve yabancı turistlere açıyor. Hazreti Nuh Peygamber Türbesi, İsmail Ebu'l-İz El-Cezeri Türbesi, Mir Abdal Medresesi, Mem u Zin Türbesi, Hamidiye Kışlası ve Mehmet Ağa Kasrı gibi tarihi yapılar yerli ve yabancı ziyaretçiler tarafından ilgi görüyor. İlçede son olarak Kırmızı medrese ve Ulu Cami'deki restorasyon çalışmaları tamamlandı. Cizre Kalesi'nde (Birca Belek) Vakıflar Genel Müdürlüğünce yürütülen restorasyonun ise yakın zamanda tamamlanması planlanıyor. Özellikle Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı'mızın Güneydoğu Anadolu Projesi (GAP) bünyesinde başlattığı Mezopotamya markası adı altında GAP turlarına dâhil edip çalışma ve girişimlerimiz vardır" dedi. Bu güzel ve kadim yerler Cizre'nin ve Cizrelilerin ferahladığı yerlerdir. Herkes bir heyecanla buraya geliyor. Yerli ve yabancı turistlerin uğrak yerleridir" ifadelerinde bulundu. İzmir'den Ulviye Şahin, eşiyle beraber geldiğini, kızının burada olduğunu dile getirerek, "Okul dönemi boyunca Cizre'deyiz. Buraya gelmeden önce bana birçok şey söylenmişti. Söylendiği gibi yer değil, böyle bulmadım. Gerçekten buralar çok güzel. Tarihi yerleri gezmeye fırsatımız oldu. Misafirperver bir halk. Tarih ve maneviyatı çok güzel bir yer.
