According to the report, in June 2024, Ankara ACC was the 4th busiest Air Traffic Control Center (ACC) in Europe, with an average of 5,090 daily flights, underscoring its critical role in managing Europe's busy air traffic. THY Ranks 3rd, Pegasus 12th Among Europe's Top 20 Airlines Turkish Airlines (THY) ranked 3rd among the top 20 airlines in Europe, with an average of 1,596 daily flights. Pegasus Airlines ranked 12th, with an average of 563 daily flights. These figures illustrate the high activity and efficiency of Turkish airlines in European airspace. Istanbul Airport Dominates the Top Spot In June 2024, Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe, with an average of 1,497 daily flights, highlighting its strategic importance in the region. Antalya Airport ranked 10th with an average of 973 daily flights, while Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport ranked 19th with an average of 679 daily flights. These figures demonstrate Turkey's significant role in air traffic, with its airlines and airports attracting high flight volumes. Turkey continues to set an example for other countries in the region with its effectiveness and capacity in European airspace. The flight performances of Turkish Airlines and Pegasus Airlines, in particular, reflect the strength and success of the country's aviation sector.
