Enjoying the sea in Antalya in december

While the harsh winter affects many regions of Turkey, the tourist city of Antalya continues to experience summer-like days. In the city where the temperature is 19 degrees and the sea water temperature is measured at 21 degrees, the world-famous Konyaaltı Beach has become the destination for those enjoying the sunny weather. After a rainy day yesterday, where the temperature was 19 degrees and the sea water temperature was 20 degrees, those who witnessed the sunny weather in the tourist city of Antalya headed to the internationally renowned Konyaaltı Beach. It was observed that the majority of those entering the sea in the Konyaaltı district, where many expatriates reside, were tourists. Tourists enjoyed the sea with their children, and some individuals had fun moments on canoes, while many others spent their time reading books. The crowded scene along the coastline resembled the summer months. On the other hand, for tourists who want to spend New Year's Eve in hotels, the entertainment spot was the pools. Families, along with their children, slid down water slides, enjoying the sunny weather. "I Owe My Health to the Mediterranean" Ismet Gültekin (72), who came to Konyaaltı Beach and entered the sea, stated, "The sea water temperature is not below 20 degrees, and I feel the air is around 22 degrees. I always come here to swim in the winter, and it feels great. I owe my health to the Mediterranean. I would recommend it to friends who come; saltwater feels like medicine. Many people don't come because they think the water is cold, but it's not cold. I can't resist coming before I do. Ten minutes are enough for me, and once I get in, I don't feel like getting out. It's also nice to swim in rainy weather."
