Countdown has begun for Project Kampinova in Kuşadası

The countdown has begun for the Kampinova project, which is under construction at Davutlar Sevgi Beach, in the works carried out by Kuşadası Municipality to make the city the center of the new tourism that emerged after the pandemic. Kampinova, which will be brought to the city in a short time, is already a candidate to be the new address of digital nomads with its innovation-oriented work and peaceful nature. Kuşadası Municipality has been an important city of Turkish tourism for many years and continues its efforts to shape the alternative tourism potential with the new tourism and education approach that emerged with the pandemic. After the Kuşadası Station Community Center, which Kuşadası Municipality opened together with Ada Camping and Habitat Association 2 years ago in cooperation with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality, the construction work of the Kampinova project, which will introduce the city to the new tourist type of the era, digital nomads, continues. The Kampinova project, which was deemed worthy of an award in the "Youth Friendly Cities Idea, Project and Implementation Competition" organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB), will be implemented with the slogan "Learn, Have Fun, Renew". In Kampinova, which will be brought to the city in cooperation with Aydın Metropolitan Municipality and Habitat Association, there will be training, workshops, tents, sports, events, stages, performances, recreation, common work areas, bungalow houses and social facilities. In Kampinova, which will offer its guests an innovation-oriented work and holiday opportunity in nature, approximately 260 people can be accommodated at the same time. Digital nomads coming to Kampinova will also have the opportunity to participate in various events and festivals to be organized for them. Kampinova, where trainings will be organized in line with the demands of the Y and Z generations and the requirements of the digital age, will be the new center of attraction in Kuşadası with all these features. Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel, who was authorized to sign a protocol with the Habitat Association regarding the Kampinova project at the May meeting of the Municipal Council, stated that the pandemic changed many habits and said, “We continue our work with Kampinova, which we started to make Kuşadası the center of new tourism. After Ada Camping, we believe that the Kampinova project will breathe new life into tourism of our city.”

'Tourism Investment Award' to Kuşadası Municipality

Kuşadası Municipality received the Tourism Investment Award at the Aegean Investment Export Innovation Technology (EGE YİİT) Awards for the new tourism understanding that emerged during the pandemic process, the investments it brought to the city and the projects it will implement. Speaking at the award ceremony, President Ömer Günel said, “Thanks to the investments we have made, Kuşadası is now pursuing new records in the field of tourism. "We will continue to work hard for our city." At the award ceremony, Kuşadası Municipality won the 'Tourism Investment Award' for its camp and caravan area Ada Camping, which built in accordance with the changing tourism and education understanding with the coronavirus, and 'Kampinova', which it started to be built for digital nomads, and 'Mars Colony', which offers a different holiday experience to tourists. "Kuşadası is now pursuing new records in tourism" Making a speech at the ceremony, Kuşadası Mayor Ömer Günel; “While Kuşadası is one of the most important places in tourism in Turkey, unfortunately, it fell behind in the race that it started in the lead because it could not manage the process well in the course of time. From the first day I took over the job, I started to think about how we can quickly revive the city I fell in love with, how we can equip the old city with new investments and how we can bring it back into the agenda of world tourism. We have never spent the 4 years we have been in office empty. Kuşadası had the highest number of passengers in cruise tourism in 2011. Today, we expect 40 percent more passengers in 2023, thanks to the investments we have made. Kuşadası is now chasing new records in tourism. Our city is also trying to keep up with the digitalized world order. There are currently 170 million digital nomads in the world. Currently, there are close to 170 million digital nomads around the world. Our Kampinova project, which was awarded the "Youth Friendly Cities Idea, Project and Implementation Competition" organized by the Union of Municipalities of Turkey (TBB), is under construction. We provide continuous training to our young people at Kuşadası Station Community Center. We will continue to work hard for Kuşadası.” Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Mehmet Kasapoğlu, Mayor of Kuşadası Ömer Günel, leading politicians and bureaucrats of İzmir and the Aegean, non-governmental organizations, academics and business people attended the ceremony, where companies and successful municipalities that contribute to the country's economy are rewarded with their technology and innovation efforts.
