Taflanaltı Sokak has become a touristic place

The facades of 17 houses on Taflanaltı Sokak, located in the Yeniköy District of the Tirebolu district, which stands out with its historical houses, were painted with the work of the headman Osman Altay and the residents of the district. The street, where 2-3-storey houses are located, became alive with colors and gained a different appearance. On the street, which became known as "Taflanaltı Color Street", seashells, cones and old Tirebolu photographs reflecting the district were placed on the walls of the houses. In addition, in order to draw attention to recycling, ornaments made from tree roots hitting the beach, flowers planted in old shoes and vehicle tires were placed at different points of the street. In addition to these, quotations were written on the walls of the houses. Yeniköy Neighborhood Headman Osman Altay said that while they were coloring the streets, they were not inspired by any place, and that they created the street with the ideas of the citizens. Stating that they increased the number of houses painted in the neighborhood to 30 this year with the support of the municipality, Altay said, "We plan to increase this number to 55 by October. Later, we will combine these streets to create tea and coffee shops and souvenir areas. We think that this place will provide a great return to tourism next year." Stating that they received intense visits after coloring the street, Altay said, "We see the images of this place on social media a lot. As Taflanaltı Color Street, we tried to create a brand, I think we succeeded, albeit a little." Altay noted that the only criticism of the visitors was that the area to visit was small and continued as follows: "We have already started working on this. The work on Yeni Sokak has been completed, we will color the streets of Kuyubaşı, Salih Bora and Fatih in the same way, we will connect the line. People will travel in a larger area. It will be a place where they can have a good time, take pictures, and walk around the areas where there are quotes, pictures, drawings and old historical cultural photographs of Tirebolu. We aim to increase the travel time to 30-35 minutes." İsmail Günaydın, who came from Erzincan, also stated that the harmony of colors with words and historical texture creates a different beauty as a whole, and said, "What is beautiful is seen by everyone, but there is a really different beauty here. It is gratifying that such a beauty has been created with a historical texture. I really enjoyed seeing this place. There are also very meaningful words for the children who visit this place." On the other hand, due to the fact that the street, which attracts the attention of visitors to Giresun, came to the fore in tourism, Tirebolu Municipality started work to color the other streets in the neighborhood. Mayor Burhan Takır, in his statement, emphasized that the neighborhood where Tirebolu houses are located reflects the cultural texture of the district. Pointing out that they have also colored Yeni Sokak in the same neighborhood, Takır said, "We have finished Yeni Sokak, we will color 3 more streets and we will have 5 streets in total like this. Our citizens will come, drink their coffee, sip their tea, eat their pancakes and chat." Pointing out that beaches and historical houses come to mind when tourism is mentioned in Tirebolu, Takır said, "People can breathe in the historical texture in Yeniköy District. This place is known as 'old Tirebolu', the old settlement of the district, and hopefully its future will be better. We believe in tourism, everything for tourism is here."

Tarihi evleriyle ön plana çıkan Tirebolu ilçesinin Yeniköy Mahallesi'nde yer alan Taflanaltı Sokak'taki 17 evin dış cephesi, muhtar Osman Altay ve ilçe sakinlerinin çalışmasıyla boyatıldı. 2-3 katlı evlerin yer aldığı sokak, renklerle canlanarak farklı bir görünüme kavuştu. "Taflanaltı Renkli Sokak" olarak anılmaya başlanan sokakta evlerin duvarlarına, ilçeyi yansıtan deniz kabukları, kozalaklar ve eski Tirebolu fotoğrafları yerleştirildi. Ayrıca geri dönüşüme dikkati çekmek amacıyla, sahile vuran ağaç köklerinden yapılan süsler, eski ayakkabı ve araç lastikleri içerisine dikilen çiçekler sokağın farklı noktalarına konuldu. Bunların yanı sıra evlerin duvarlarına özlü sözler de yazıldı. Yeniköy Mahallesi Muhtarı Osman Altay, sokakları renklendirirken hiçbir yerden esinlenmediklerini, vatandaşların fikirleriyle sokağı oluşturduklarını söyledi. Mahallede belediyenin desteğiyle boyanan ev sayısını bu yıl 30'a çıkardıklarını belirten Altay, "Ekim ayına kadar bu sayının 55 olmasını planlıyoruz. Daha sonra bu sokakları birleştirerek çay ve kahve, hediyelik eşya alanları oluşturacağız. Gelecek yıl buranın turizme çok büyük getiri sağlayacağını düşünüyoruz." ifadelerini kullandı. Altay, gelenlerin tek eleştirisinin gezilecek alanın küçüklüğü olduğunu kaydederek, şöyle devam etti: "Bununla ilgili de çalışmayı başlattık zaten. Yeni Sokak'taki çalışmalar bitti, Kuyubaşı, Salih Bora ve Fatih sokaklarını da aynı bu şekilde renklendireceğiz, hattı birleştireceğiz. Büyük bir alanda insanlar gezecek. Güzel vakit geçirebilecekleri, fotoğraf çekebilecekleri, duvarlarda özlü sözler, resimler, çizimler, Tirebolu'nun eski tarihi kültürel fotoğraflarının olduğu alanlarda gezebilecekleri bir yer olacak. Gezi zamanını 30-35 dakikaya çıkarmayı hedefliyoruz." Erzincan'dan gelerek sokağı gezen İsmail Günaydın da renklerin sözler ve tarihsel dokuyla uyumunun bir bütün olarak farklı güzellik oluşturduğunu ifade ederek, "Güzel olan şey herkes tarafından görünür ama burada gerçekten farklı bir güzellik oluşmuş. Tarihi doku ile böyle bir güzellik meydana getirilmesi sevindirici. Ben burayı görmekten çok keyif aldım. Burayı gezen çocuklar için de çok anlamlı sözler var" diye konuştu. Öte yandan, Giresun'a gelen ziyaretçilerin ilgisini çeken sokağın turizmde ön plana çıkması üzerine Tirebolu Belediyesince mahalledeki diğer sokakların da renklendirilmesi için çalışma başlatıldı. Belediye Başkanı Burhan Takır, yaptığı açıklamada, Tirebolu evlerinin yer aldığı mahallenin ilçenin kültürel dokusunu yansıttığını vurguladı. Aynı mahalledeki Yeni Sokak'ı da renklendirdiklerine dikkati çeken Takır, "Yeni Sokak'ı bitirdik, 3 sokağı daha renklendireceğiz ve toplamda 5 sokağımız bu şekilde olacak. Vatandaşlarımız gelecek, kahvesini içecek, çayını yudumlayacak, gözlemesini yiyecek, sohbetini edecek" dedi. Takır, Tirebolu'da turizm denildiğinde akla plajlar ve tarihi evlerin geldiğine işaret ederek, "Yeniköy Mahallesi'nde insanlar tarihi doku içerisinde nefes alabiliyor. Burası 'eski Tirebolu' olarak geçiyor, ilçenin eski yerleşim yeri, geleceği de inşallah daha güzel olacak. Turizme inanıyoruz, turizm için her şey burada var" değerlendirmesinde bulundu.
