Turkey's largest observation terrace is the center of attention
Located in Erzurum's Uzundere district and built on Tortum Lake, Turkey's widest and longest glass observation terrace is flooded with visitors.
Uzundere district of Erzurum, which is included in the 'calm cities' network by the International Cittaslow Association (Cittaslow), attracts the attention of local tourists with its many beauties. In order to watch Tortum Lake in Uzundere district, tourists can enjoy watching the lake from a height of 143 meters. The glass terrace, which is the first and only with its features in Turkey, has a length of 12.3 meters, a covered area of 545 square meters and an open area of 565 square meters. It is also noticeable that some visitors to the observation terrace prefer to walk on the beams instead of walking on the glass platform.
The glass terrace, which hosted many tourists in the past Eid al-Adha, also offers a high adrenaline experience to its visitors. The glass terrace built at Pirinkayalar Pass offers tourists the opportunity to see the historical buildings in Uzundere, where the Black Sea and Eastern Anatolian climate is experienced, as well as to watch Tortum Lake, surrounded by high hills on all four sides with its natural beauties. Uzundere, which is 87 kilometers from Erzurum, has recently been among the favorite centers of tourism with its many alternative activities and natural beauties.
One of the conditions for people traveling from Erzurum and Artvin to see the observation terrace is that they use the mountain road, not the Pirinkayaları Tunnel, which was put into service in the past months.
