THY celebrates its 90th anniversary

According to the statement made by the THY Press Office, the global brand, which started to carry the crescent and star flag for the first time in 1933 with a fleet of 5 aircraft with a capacity of 28 seats, today delivers millions of guests to 344 destinations in 129 countries with its modern fleet of 415 aircraft. Having made its first international flight on the Ankara-Istanbul-Athens route in 1947, THY has been proudly waving the Turkish flag in the sky for 90 years. While THY plans to have a fleet of 800 planes in 2033, the number of airports is expected to reach 400. THY, which currently directs the employment schedule of the sector with its 82 thousand employees, aims to contribute to employment in the country with its 150 thousand employees in 2033. THY, deprem bölgesinden tahliye uçuşlarına devam ediyor

"Asrın felaketi" olarak nitelenen Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremlerin ardından bölgedeki vatandaşların yaralarını sarmak için harekete geçen Türk Hava Yolları (THY), bugün planlanan 93 seferle 16 bin 808 kişiyi deprem bölgelerinden tahliye edecek. THY Basın Müşaviri Yahya Üstün, sosyal medya hesabından yaptığı paylaşımda, 6-15 Şubatta yürütülen çalışmalara ilişkin bilgi verdi. THY'nin bu tarihler arasında 1135 uçuş ile 203 bin 942 kişilik arama-kurtarma ve yardım ekibini deprem bölgelerine ulaştırdığını belirten Üstün, 1110 sefer ile 200 bin 357 depremzedenin de tahliyesinin gerçekleştirildiğini kaydetti. Deprem bölgesine tahliye uçuşlarının devam ettiğini dile getiren Üstün, paylaşımında şu bilgilere yer verdi: "121 kargo seferi ile 7 bin 376 (2 bin 930 yurt içi, 4 bin 446 yurt dışı) ton yardım malzemesini afet bölgelerine sevk ettik. Ağırlıklı olarak ilaç, gıda, kıyafet, jeneratör, hijyen kiti ve çadır gönderildi. Bugün planladığımız 93 sefer ile 16 bin 808 vatandaşımızın deprem bölgelerinden tahliyesini sürdüreceğiz. Bugün gerçekleştireceğimiz 15 kargo uçuşuyla yardım malzemelerini deprem bölgelerine taşımaya devam edeceğiz. Can dostlarımızın deprem bölgelerinden kolay tahliye edilmesi için aşı karnesi zorunluluğunu kaldırmıştık, şimdi de deprem bölgelerindeki vatandaşlarımızın uçağa evcil hayvanlarıyla alınabilmesi için istasyonlarımıza taşıma kafesi göndermeye başladık."
