Balıkesir's 2nd Breakfast Festival begins

Balıkesir, dazzling with its agriculture and animal husbandry, historical, cultural and touristic values as well as its gastronomy and culinary culture, will host the Balıkesir Breakfast Festival for the second time this year on 20-21 and 22 October. The second of the Balıkesir Breakfast Festival, which is frequently mentioned on the country's agenda in June 2022, will be held at the Courtyard Life Center between 20-21-22 October. A cortege march will be held on October 19 as part of the festival celebrations. At the festival, which will be held with the slogan "Much Happiness", Balıkesir Breakfast, which consists of organic and completely local flavors and appeals to both the eye and the palate, will be introduced. In addition, there will be cooking shows, panels and interviews of famous chefs, stage performances and concerts, and tasting of local products. Great contribution to the city's economy The aim of the festival is to increase the economic returns of the city by ensuring the recognition of its local products, to support local production and rural development, and to develop tourism. One of the works realized by joining forces with the "Brand City Balıkesir" project is "Balıkesir Breakfast Festival", which will be held in cooperation with Balıkesir Governorship, Balıkesir Metropolitan Municipality, Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, Balıkesir Chamber of Industry, Balıkesir Commodity Exchange and South Marmara Development Agency, BESOB and UNESCO Turkish National Commission. Erdek ferry port is being renovated

While the works for the construction of Marmara Saraylar Port and Erdek Ferry Port continue at full speed, the plans approved by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments under the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure are preparing to be suspended in the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Worn out ports at Erdek will be rearranged and new ports of -3 meters deep and 500 meters long will be created. In addition to these ports, the Metropolitan Municipality, which has designed a 520-meter-long floating port and a 100-meter-long floating breakwater to which boats can moor, will ensure that 280 boats, whose lengths vary between 6 and 15 meters, can be safely anchored in the port. In addition to the changes made in the port, the sea area to the west of the Harbor Master's Office will be protected with a 120-meter-long breakwater and will be built to serve 60 fishing boats. The filling area to be created in the east of the newly designed fishing port and the 45-meter-long pier will be allocated to the Coast Guard Command. Determining that Saraylar Port needs a serious increase in capacity as a result of the field investigations, the Metropolitan Municipality will create a 490-meter-long breakwater to protect the port against waves and a new pier with a total length of 550 meters and a depth of -14 meters in the inner basin. With the new filling area to be built, the stock area need of the port will be met, the existing ports will be renewed and arranged with a total length of 370 meters and a depth of -10 meters. The tonnage of ships that can safely land inside the port, which can accept 4 ships at the same time, has been determined as 40 thousand DWT. With the designed project, the export of marble and marble products of Saraylar Port will be increased, contributing to the economy of the region and the country.

Erdek feribot limanı yenileniyor

Marmara Saraylar Limanı ile Erdek Feribot İskelesi yapımı için çalışmalar son hız devam ederken, kati projesi, Ulaştırma ve Altyapı Bakanlığına bağlı Altyapı Yatırımlar Genel Müdürlüğü tarafından onaylanan planlar, Çevre ve Şehircilik Bakanlığında askıya çıkmaya hazırlanıyor. Erdek Feribot Limanı’nda yıpranmış olan rıhtımlar yeniden düzenlenerek -3 metre derinliğinde 500 metre uzunluğunda yeni rıhtımlar oluşturulacak. Bu rıhtımlara ek olarak teknelerin bağlanabileceği 520 metre uzunluğunda yüzer iskele ve 100 metre uzunluğunda yüzer dalgakıran tasarlayan Büyükşehir Belediyesi; uzunlukları 6 ila 15 metre arasında değişen 280 teknenin, liman içerisinde güvenle demirleyebilmesini sağlayacak. Liman içerisinde yapılan değişikliklerin yanı sıra; Liman Başkanlığı’nın batısında bulunan denizalanı, 120 metre uzunluğunda bir dalgakıranla korumaya alınarak 60 adet balıkçı teknesine hizmet verecek şekilde yapılacak. Yeni tasarlanan balıkçı limanının doğusunda oluşturulacak dolgu alanı ve 45 metre uzunluğundaki iskele, Sahil Güvenlik Komutanlığı’na tahsis edilecek. Yapılan saha incelemeleri sonucunda Saraylar Limanı’nın ciddi bir kapasite artışına ihtiyacı olduğunu belirleyen Büyükşehir Belediyesi; limanı dalgalara karşı koruyacak 490 metre uzunluğunda bir dalgakıran ve iç basende toplamda yaklaşık 550 metre uzunluğunda, -14 metre derinliğinde yeni rıhtım oluşturacak. Yapılacak yeni dolgu alanı ile limanın stok sahası ihtiyacı giderilecek, mevcuttaki rıhtımlar yenilenerek toplamda 370 metre uzunluğunda ve -10 metre derinliğinde düzenlenecek. 4 adet gemiyi aynı anda kabul edebilecek olan limanın içerisine güvenli şekilde yanaşabilecek gemi tonajı 40 bin DWT olarak belirlendi. Tasarlanan proje ile Saraylar Limanı’nın mermer ve mermer ürünleri ihracatı artırılarak bölge ve ülke ekonomisine katkı sağlanacak.
