Latvia-based airline company AirBaltic has started reciprocal direct flights between IGA Istanbul Airport and Riga International Airport. An event was held at Istanbul Airport for the first flight operated by AirBaltic. Sales Manager Jevgenij Kozyrev attended the event at the airport, representing AirBaltic company.
Commenting on the first flight, AirBaltic President and CEO Martin Gauss said, “We are delighted to officially open our season for the summer this year and launch direct flights connecting beautiful Istanbul to our home base in Riga, Latvia. We hope the new connection will allow local travelers in Turkey to visit our Baltic home and explore the rich history, vibrant art and versatile experiences that Riga has to offer.”
Direct flights between Istanbul and Riga are expected to take an average of 3 hours.
