Reminding that millions of people have planned their holidays through Tatilsepeti.com in the last 20 years, Tatilsepeti Board Chairman Kaan Karayal said, “The problems experienced in Schengen visas have brought a serious increase in visa-free tours. According to the Holiday Basket data, the demand for visa-free tours in the summer we left behind increased by 34 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. We are experiencing significant increases in visa-free tours to many locations including Kosovo, Morocco, Phuket, Pattaya, Bangkok, North Macedonia, Egypt and Bosnia and Herzegovina.”
'DEMAND FOR SAPANCA INCREASED BY 160 PERCENT'
Emphasizing that they have observed changes in the preference of holiday destinations in the domestic market, Kaan Karayal said, “Our southern beaches are still popular, but the rising holiday costs have started to direct consumers to nearby locations. According to Tatil Sepeti data, there is a serious increase in demand for Sapanca, Ayvalık, Assos and Bolu respectively. During the past summer months, our tour sales for these 4 locations increased by 72 percent compared to the same period last year. Moreover, this rate reached 103 percent in June. We have never observed such intense demand before. "When we examined it on a location basis, the increase in demand especially for Sapanca reached 160 percent."
