DHL Group signed an agreement to buy 100 percent of the shares of MNG Kargo.

In the joint statement of DHL Group and MNG Cargo, it was stated that the agreement will give a new impetus to Turkey's rapidly growing e-commerce and cargo sectors.

Founded in 2003, MNG Cargo has 27 hubs and more than 800 branches, employing approximately 10 thousand people.

MNG Cargo, which will benefit from the international logistics experience and wide global network of the DHL Group, will become a part of the DHL e-commerce unit and complete the DHL e-commerce European cargo delivery network.

'MNG Cargo will complete our business portfolio'

DHL Group Chief Executive (CEO), Tobias Meyer, commented on the agreement: “Besides sustainability, globalization and digitalisation, we have defined e-commerce as a megatrend in logistics and made it an area of focus in the 2025 DHL Group Strategy. e-commerce continues to be one of the biggest growth factors for the logistics sector and especially for cargo volumes. For this reason, we are constantly working to expand our footprint in the e-commerce sector with organic and inorganic growth strategies. MNG Cargo will complement our business portfolio and help us further expand our established network in this sector."

President of the Presidency Investment Office Burak Dağlıoğlu emphasized that Turkey is a regional center in the logistics sector with its growing economy, strategic location, competent workforce and established transportation infrastructure.

Dağlıoğlu said: "The cargo volume in our country is increasing day by day with the double-digit growth achieved in e-commerce. This acquisition of DHL, one of the most important players in the sector, on the 100th anniversary of our Republic, also shows our country's belief in its potential and its increasing investment appetite. Under the leadership of our President, improving the investment environment of our country and increasing international direct investments is one of our most important goals."

It will bring the global to the Turkish market

Pablo Ciano, CEO of DHL e-Commerce, said: “At DHL e-Commerce, our aim is to provide reliable, accessible and sustainable e-commerce delivery services to our customers.
