According to Tourism Databank, in international trips from England to Mediterranean countries, Spain ranked first with a 40 percent share despite losing 4.5 points. Italy followed with 16 percent and France with 13 shares. Both countries showed more than 90 percent improvement.
Portugal, whose market shares fell by half a point in the number of trips, improved by 55 percent and Turkey by 54 percent. Their shares were 9 percent and 6 percent.
Morocco, Greece and Egypt also made progress, while Morocco broke a record with an increase of 337 percent.
