Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that they have started working to change the Travel Agencies Association Law. Evaluating the 9-month tourism data at the Atatürk Cultural Center, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that they will amend the Turkish Travel Agencies Association Law No. 1618.
Regarding the issue, Ersoy said, “We are making changes to law no. 1618. It's a law that's outdated. We have started detailed legal work on this. We also started to receive the opinions of relevant institutions. “We will send this to the Parliament as soon as possible and ensure that it becomes law.”
Minister Ersoy responded to the question of whether the legal regulation in question was made based on the draft previously prepared with TÜRSAB or whether a study was carried out from scratch; “That draft was prepared by TÜRSAB and reflected only TÜRSAB's views. "We have prepared a new draft law, taking into account all the demands of the sector."
