The facilities in Pamukkale, which spent the Eid-al Adha holiday with a 100% occupancy rate, made a quick start to the season.
Pamukkale, which was visited by 604 thousand 33 local and foreign visitors in the January-June period last year, hosted 811 thousand 156 visitors in the same period of this year.
Gazi Murat Şen, Vice President of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation, said that they made a perfect start to the summer season with their 9-day holiday.
Noting that he believes the occupancy will continue throughout the season, Şen said, "I hope we will try to reach 3 million by exceeding the 2 million tourist target we caught last year."
