Russian tourists toured Amasra on the first cruise of the season

The cruise ship named Astoria Grande, which anchored from Russia, reached Amasra Port with its 553 passengers and 389 crew.

Russian tourists visited the historical sites of Amasra.

With the announcement of Amasra Port, which is prepared for cruise tourism with an investment of 120 million TL by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, as a "Permanent Sea Border Gate Open to International Entries and Exits" by President Erdogan, Amasra, the historical and touristic district of Bartın, has turned into one of the important stops of cruise tourism.

The cruise ship named Astoria Grande, which anchored from Russia, reached the port of Amasra in the morning after its first stop, Sinop. It was reported that there were 553 passengers and 389 crew members on the cruise that docked in the port. Tourists on the cruise toured the historical sites of Amasra, accompanied by guides.

While Russian tourists were shopping at the Çekiciler Bazaar, where souvenirs are offered for sale, they visited historical places such as the Kemere Bridge and Chapel, as well as the Amasra Museum, where artifacts that shed light on the history of Amasra are exhibited.

Agency official Ahmet zurnacı stated that 23 more cruise voyages were planned during the year, and said, “After the accident, our ship made its first voyage. It docked as of this morning with 553 passengers and 389 crew members. From now on, the planned number of voyages during the year is 23. If nothing goes wrong, these 23 voyages will be completed. Good luck to our Amasra and our region. 9 buses leave today, 3 more in the afternoon. With the opening of the season, these numbers will increase.” 

Some tourists on the cruise departed to Karabük by buses to visit Safranbolu district. It has been learned that the cruise ship will take anchor in the evening and move to its next stop, Istanbul.
