1,400 Iranian tourists to celebrate Nowruz in Marmaris
1,400 Iranian tourists started to come from Iran to Muğla's Marmaris district for the herald of spring and for the 21 March Nowruz Festival, which is celebrated as an anniversary in some countries.

1,400 Iranian tourists started to come from Iran to Muğla's Marmaris district for the 21 March Nowruz Festival, which is celebrated as the herald of spring and the anniversary in some countries. Preparations were made for Iranians who will celebrate their one-week Nowruz feast in five-star hotels, special tables that start with the letter S were set at the reception, and non-alcoholic fruit cocktails and desserts were served.
It is expected that more than 1,400 Iranian tourists will come to Marmaris in a 10-day period for the anniversary of Nowruz celebrated in Iran, Azerbaijan and Iraq. South Azerbaijani tourist Şahende Şekker, who came to Marmaris, said, "I am very happy to come to Marmaris, which is said to be wonderful in nature, which I have heard a lot about with the Nowruz Festival." Nahsa Beyat, who came on holiday from Iran, said, "We used to celebrate Nevruz with our families every year. We came to Marmaris with a change this year. Nowruz is a very precious holiday for us," and stated that they will stay for a week. Nadia Kocaste said, "We came to Marmaris for Nevruz, we had been to Antalya before. It is a very beautiful place as far as we have seen."
While Iranian tourists stated that they want to visit all over Turkey, DJ Ali, who came from Iran to celebrate Nowruz for Iranians, said, "I came here to play the local music of Iranians during Nowruz celebrations. We welcome all Iranians to Marmaris and Turkey." Hotel Owner Turgut Torunoğulları said, "We are opening again with the Iranian market with Nevruz. We said that our 2023 season will be strong. We hear that Turkey and especially Marmaris are in demand in the Iranian market. We expect our Iranian guests to our hotels."
Tour Operator Hamdi Artuk said, "We offer our condolences to our country for the disaster of the century. We will start tourism somehow and return to life. We will host our Iranian guests in hotels in Marmaris during the Nevruz Festival. Hotels have completed their preparations for Nowruz. They have made the necessary arrangements for the celebrations. We brought a DJ from Turkey and prepared a concert organization" and stated that Iranians will continue to come on vacation in the Dalaman region with the planes that will arrive in April.
