57th International Cherry Festival has started in Tekirdağ

The 57th International Cherry Festival has started in Tekirdağ's Süleymanpaşa district, where approximately 3 million visitors are expected.
Organized for the 57th time this year by the Süleymanpaşa Municipality, the International Cherry Festival started in the Naip District, where the festival was first held. Folk dance performances were presented at the festival, where different types of cherries were exhibited. Speaking at the opening, Süleymanpaşa Mayor Cüneyt Yüksel said, "We started our work to organize a festival worthy of Thrace. Last year, we hosted 300 thousand people at the same time on the beach, where the biggest crowd in the history of the Republic was, according to the security data. In total, we hosted 2.5 million guests in our city. Hopefully this year we will host 3 million people with your support. This success is not only thanks to Cüneyt Yüksel, but also thanks to our 215 thousand citizens living in this city. I wish that our festival, where we will show the hospitality of the people of Tekirdağ and the people of Thrace, will be beneficial."
