ATOR has announced the most preferred destinations by Russian tourists in August and the holiday costs in these destinations.
The Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR) compared the average holiday prices in different destinations for the beginning of August in Russia.
According to ATOR data, 62% of the tours sold for early August are to Turkey. This rate was 56% in the second half of July and 65% in June.
According to a report on TürkRus, Egypt ranks second with 17%, and Russian beaches rank third with 13%.
The cheapest destination for a 10-day tour package for two people from Moscow is Anapa, at 78,600 rubles. This price includes accommodation in a 3-star hotel with breakfast and transportation by car from Moscow.
The minimum food and drink expenses for a 10-day holiday in Anapa are stated to be around 30,000 rubles. The lowest tour price for 10 days in Sochi is 96,000 rubles, and 99,400 rubles in Abkhazia.
In the United Arab Emirates, the lowest tour package for two people in a 2-star hotel with breakfast for early August is 118,200 rubles.
In Egypt, this figure is 149,000 rubles for a 3-star all-inclusive hotel.
The cheapest tours are to Vietnam and Thailand (130,000 and 132,000 rubles).
In Antalya, the price of a 10-day all-inclusive tour package for two people in a 3-star hotel is around 170,000 rubles.
