Tourists, who entered Turkey through the customs gates from Bulgaria with their own vehicles and tour buses from the early hours of the morning, met their many needs from Edirne before the New Year, from food to clothing. Citizens of the neighboring country Bulgaria, who came to Edirne, shopped at the bazaar and market in the city center. The Bulgarians who scrutinize the benches form a density in the city center. The intensity of Bulgarian tourists also made the shopkeepers of Edirne smile.

They're doing their winter shopping
Stating that Bulgarians meet almost all their winter shopping from Edirne, one of the tradesmen, Mustafa Ay, said, “We are very pleased that Bulgarian citizens have come to Edirne. They buy all kinds of products such as cookies, detergents, clothes, and we take advantage of this situation.”
Elvan Cemil, who came to Edirne from the city of Plovdiv in Bulgaria to shop, said, “We are coming to visit and shop. We take whatever we see fit. We bought many products such as olive baklava," while Rumen Dimitrov said, "We love Edirne very much. I will come again,” he said.
