First cruise ship of this year arrives in Aydın’s Kuşadası
841 passengers arrived in Kuşadası on the first cruise ship of the 2023 season

The first cruise ship of the 2023 season, the Norwegian-flagged Viking Sky, brought 841 passengers, mostly from the USA and England, to the Kuşadası district of Aydın.
The first ship of the 2023 cruise season, 'Viking Sky' with a length of 228 meters and a width of 34 meters, with the Norwegian flag, is anchored in Kuşadası Harbor today. 841 tourists, mostly US and English, disembarked from the 47,842 gross ton ship, and were greeted with folk dances and flowers. Some of the passengers visited historical and touristic places such as the Ancient City of Ephesus and the House of Virgin Mary in Selçuk district of İzmir by buses. Those who did not participate in the tour stayed in the district center and shopped in the bazaars. Global Ports Holding Eastern Mediterranean Region Coordinator and Ege Port Kuşadası Port General Manager Aziz Güngör said, "Unless there is a significant setback in 2023, the number of passengers is expected to exceed 1 million. This will be the highest number of passengers in the history of Kuşadası so far."
