Tourism Attack from Kayseri

Works on bicycle tourism, which cover Nevşehir, Aksaray, Kırşehir and Niğde, led by Kayseri, have begun to bear fruit.

Cycling lovers from various parts of the country and the world headed to the hotels in the region for a holiday, which attracted attention by organizing national and international bicycle race organizations. Especially, the occupancy rates of the hotels in Kayseri city center and Erciyes Ski Center region increased due to bicycle tourism.

Speaking at the ceremony held in Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu said that "the region is in an exemplary work for our country". President Müftüoğlu continued his speech as follows: "Sport tourism, which started in Alanya in 1989, continues to increase in our country. There are important developments in sports tourism not only in Antalya and the coastal provinces, but also in many provinces of our country. Cycling tourism, which is considered as a priority by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and TGA, has started to contribute to our country. Apart from winter tourism, we encounter a rapidly increasing number of tourists in regions where ski resorts are preferred and hotels with bicycle-friendly hotel certificates are located. Due to the Kayseri leg of the UCI 2023 Summer Series race, which will be held in Kayseri tomorrow, the hotels in the city are full. These races, which are followed not only by professional athletes but also by millions of sports lovers, make a great contribution to the definition of a country."
