The visitors, who took advantage of the weekend break, watched the city view from Hıdırlık Hill.
Vacationers, who tasted local delicacies in cafes and restaurants, shopped at Turkish delight shops and souvenir shops.
Safranbolu District Governor Şaban Arda Yazıcı told Anadolu Agency (AA) that the district has important tourism potentials in Turkey and in the world.
Stating that the tourism activity in the historical district increased even more at the weekend, Yazıcı stated that the activities to increase the quality of tourism in the district are continuing.
Pointing out that the UNESCO city title is brought to a better place every year, Yazıcı said, "I recommend people from all over our country and the world to see this wonderful ancient city."
